Sharks 13s join the 14s in PYL grand finals

Following the Premier Youth League Preliminary Finals last weekend, Sutherland Sharks 13s have qualified for the grand final next weekend. After a comprehensive 3 nil win over Manly the Sharks now mee Marconi Stallions next Saturday.

The Sharks 14s had qualified by previously winning the major semi-final. Their opponents in the grand final will be Blacktown City who defeated Marconi Stallions 3 nil in the preliminary final.

The preliminary final results and grand final draw (all grand finals are at Gabbie Stadium Blacktown on Saturday August 30) are:

Under 18s:
Preliminary Final: APIA Leichhardt 7 defeated Penrith Nepean United nil
Grand Final: Blacktown v APIA Leichhardt ; 3pm

Under 16s:
Preliminary Final: Blacktown City defeated Manly United 5 – 3 on penalties
Grand Final: Marconi Stallions v Blacktown City: 1.15pm

Under 15s:
Preliminary Final: Marconi Stallions 2 defeated Blacktown City nil
Grand Final: Wollongong FC v Marconi Stallions: 11.40am

Under 14s:
Preliminary Final: Blacktown City 3 defeated Marconi Stallions nil
Grand Final: Sutherland Sharks v Blacktown City: 10.15am

Under 13s:
Preliminary Final: Sutherland Sharks 3 defeated Manly United nil
Grand Final: Marconi Stallions v Sutherland Sharks: 9am

Participate or volunteer in the world’s largest multi-sport event

The Sydney 2009 World Masters Games (10-18 October 2009) is just over a year away and the Organising Committee has begun recruiting volunteers.

Prepare for junior cricket season in holidays at Bradman Oval

School Holiday Clinics for junior cricketers will be running on Bradman Oval, Bowral from 10am to 3pm, Wednesday October 1, Thursday October 2 and Friday October 3. The clinics are for girls and boys aged 8 – 16.

Participants can take part for one day or three to prepare for a big season. Any team or school that registers eleven players, one player is FREE.

Everyone who has registered by the closing date (September 24) will go into a draw for a Cricket Kit, valued at $280.(Batting pads, gloves, thigh pad, protector, willow Bat and Sommers kit bag).
